 Remarkable Summer Growth Furthers PrePass Success  

 Eleven new sites improve safety and boost efficiency for truckers   



PHOENIX, AZ (October 1, 2002) – PrePass, the nation’s leader in e-clearance technology, has opened 11 new sites over the last two months bringing their total operational sites to 215 in 24 states.  The new sites include:

  ·       Mayview, MO East and westbound on I-70 near Blue Springs, MO;

·         St. Clair, MO westbound on I-44 near Union, MO;

·         Foristell, MO east and westbound on I-70;

·         Harrisonville, MO southbound on US71;

·         Kearney, MO northbound on I-35;

·         Platte City, MO northbound I-29;

·         St Clair, MO eastbound I-44;

·         Menominee, WI westbound on I-94 near Eau Claire, WI; and,

·         Calexico, CA northbound on SR-111 near the Mexican Border

 

PrePass is a sophisticated technology that enables qualified motor carriers to comply electronically with state safety and credential requirements at highway speeds.  Motor carriers participation is strictly voluntary and carrier eligibility is subject to state safety qualification standards.  Participating carriers pay a nominal fee for each successful bypass.

  Launched in California in 1995, PrePass is operational at 215 locations with an additional 48 sites committed.  24 states have deployed -- or committed to deploy – PrePass:  Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, Nebraska, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
